Happy Dipawali

Light is the most important source of energy. So almost every civilization on the Earth have festival of Light in one form or another. So very happy Diwali.
And we always greet each other - may all your desires get fulfilled. But we don't mean it literally :-)  Or even if we mean it , it never gonna happen.  Imagine what if your all deaires get fulfilled.. .you certainly have bizarre reaults then...as your mind often isn't in your control :-). And if all the deaires get fulfilled who will take more efforts.  But certainly  such wishes may have been useful to boost your morale , to be hopeful to achieve your core desires get fulfilled. And philosphers live in entirely different planes , they guide to reduce desires. Is it that easy?

Desires burn like fuel so they can act as driving force , just steer in the right direction. What is right direction?  Know your destinations. But roads are often not straight , that is the process , journey of joy.

And we express joy in various expressions. Firecracker is one such thing. Marriage, election-victory, Welcoming new year etc.  Nowadays I don't watch cricket too often, but still my heart is into it and breathtakingly wait for that sound of victory , and then can sleep peacefully with joy .So what is the problem with firecrackers? Nothing only some Hindus are in self denial mode of their own culture and will file a petition every year , what is judiciary doing , why judiciary should give directives every year , and is it not wastage of time , settle this issue once. And  some so called atheists and so called communists always try to demean Indian Festivals.  In fact people of all religion embrace these festivals.

Also  firecracker industry provides  employment to many poor people. Of course safety norms should be followed.
And while you enjoy firecrackers ensure your own safety. We often love showmanship even if it means false bravado  , but there is no point in burning your hands. So don't be ashamed if you run after you lit the fire :-) , you are not coward , you are sensible. And if anybody says to you that you don't become same just because somebody says so. People can say almost anything , pass frivolous judgements, never worry about that.Your safety is in your hands. You can choose which type of firecrackers you want. Some firecrackers are less noisy yet give pure joy , like  ...I don't know what to call them in English....भुईनळे( probably called tree) and भुईचक्र  or populary known asमामामामी, yes of course we definitely have local names for each of the item .I used to dance till my college days , I can do it even by  but how much odd you can be :-)
Of course grown up boys and girls would like sound effect and flashing lights in the air. Then you could have minimum of these , just to ensure joy and have some savings . Also we purchase disproportionately , last year's stock is still there . So if nearby some children with humble background  cannot afford  , share your new and old stock. Also not just firecrackers , we can share  a lot more things like फराळ( special cuisines made in Diwali) , lamps , joy and love.

Also when you enjoy firecrackers , look out for space, wires, connections ( of electricity) , कडबा and such things , so that your joy should not become diffuculty and hazard for others.
Also you wear flashy and fancy dresses  for the ceremony. You must. But while enjoying firecrackers such dresses attract fire , so when you begin enjoying crackers just change and have normal apparel.

Enjoy firecrackers , minimizing Air Pollution require consistent efforts , clearly people don't have problem with crackers but about our celebration.
Burn them more with firecrackers!
Burnol sale( metaphorically)shots up every Dipawali  :-)

Wish you very happy Dipawali!!
