Happy Independence Day!!
15 th August is not a holiday for me. Accepted some new responsibility. As a citizen I am already a responsible person . Accepting something new brings its own freshness . And from the red fort also India have taken off today.
Our honourable Prime Minister have already changed official formal tone of government speeches. Why talk English if people could not understand? Also popularized radio giving it new life through Mann ki Baat .And created forum for suggestions and competitions through platforms like 'mygov'( mygov.in). Also I remember last time on suggestion of citizens, on feedback of some citizens he reduced length of his speech. Who does that? Even a corporator don't ask for common people's opinion. But still, नावडतीचे मीठ अळणी!!
Of course you can criticize when it is necessary,but you should praise when commendable activities are taking place. But there is fashion in the media that you have to find negatives out of even positive things. And that is why common people simply ' pass' these 'intellectuals'. And these 'intellectuals' are supposed to generate class consciousness in masses , themselves form their own exclusive 'class' and separate themselves from massess. No wonder their predictions fail so often as connection to ground realities is missed, everything does not fit into ideological narratives.Also a good critique knows art of appreciation, and thereby a lot of journalists today are bad critique.But facts don't change लेखणी आपटली तरी ( for decorum :)) .
Problem is not that there are problems. Problem is everybody is in hurry to jump the conclusion and link that problem to suitable narrative and they depend on people's mercy that people in their busy life are not checking its veracity often. But once in a while ' intellectuals' try to educate people by preaching only one side of the coin or two sides of dice that they like आणि मिरवायला मोकळे.
लहान तोंडी मोठा घास , पण असे घास घेत राहू , पट्टीचे खवय्ये आहोत(खादाड म्हणा हवं तर) :-)
Many great initiatives are put forth , people will talk about them. I personally want to mention about ' Aayushman Bharat' initiative. In government's efforts in poverty alleviation programmes health expenses stood as a challenge for long. A happy family , all is going well and suddenly one of the member of family suffer from a disease like cancer or there are some new diseases or medical conditions where there are yet to discover specific medication , doctors use common sense combination of medicines to prolong life of a patient and these medicines are not affordable.So shifting newly formed middle class back to the poverty. And we know cancer treatment (chemotherapy etc.) or organ transplant are also expensive for rich people stalling their further progress. So Aayushman Bharat is not just health insurance , but a very effective poverty alleviation programme. In initial phase beneficiaries will be poor people and lower middle class. As economy grows relatively financially stable families will also be covered. This is an ambitious programme and bigger than much celebrated ' OBAMACARE'.Maybe PM learned about such possibility through his global interactions.
