Feminist untill you marry that can be case with many of us. But I am not feminist just that I see women as human being as a person. And anybody , not just me , on the same page will certainly have same concerns. People also ask you personally even when you talk in general sense .So my answer when asked when you will get married - my typical answer is - TOMORROW ! ( ask me again on another day :) ).There are other questions as well.
So basically I don't like over the board feminism and also they are not hitting the bull's eye. A lot of feminist's concern is only class concern. So as they have good economic condition and can pay hefty in marriage they seldom fight against dowry. So voices must be raised from lower middle class or poor women but they are entangled in tradition and so not interested and many of them suffer and then blame fate...what else they can do.
Still I appreciate feminism too some extent , when they go far in their demands on other issues then only men remember 'family'. Many a men don't let their significant other to earn and then when they (men)earn outside home they kind of neglect household and parenting responsibility. And so women have to overwork and even that is not acknowledged ...otherwise there would be least domestic violence. And here we connect the dots , lots of domestic violence happen because of dowry. And practice of dowry will stop only when you become selfless or less selfish. For that you need to imbibe philosophy. And due to sacredness or understanding people may transform themselves that is where role of religious preaching also comes. But because there are lots of impersonators or pretenders in the name of preacher we tend to disbelieve .Also many a preacher repeat more about fate i.e. some things are bound to happen. It can be interpreted both ways. As a liberating experience if some things are bound to happen we don't know which? We must work earnestly and without any tension.But people tend to subscribe to other interpretation which is binding one..if almost everything is doomed to happen what will happen to us and why work if it's no use whatsoever. Of course liberating interpretation is expected and this distinction should be told, re-told as people have a lot of inertia and not so easily convinced and fortunately there are people bringing this change.This is just one way.
I am perfectly okay with the ways in which without taking recourse to religion whatsoever solutions are found. Certainly they can be.At the end if you observe very broad picture..anybody will understand everything happens for good( broad picture...not specific events...don't be so childish to spot some negative incidents!). And although world is continuously leading to chaos , it is continuously improving but not as much as expected.And we have achieved .01 percent of our true potential..- and this is an understatement especially if we get acquainted with Kardashev's ( not Kardashians' :) ) scale of civilizations. Somebody have already worked on that fortunately.
Taare Zamin par aao :) So if you pursue knowledge, petty concerns and thereby struggles for petty reasons ( which can be Chingari चिंगारी) can be minimised to a greater extent.As limit x tends to infinity there are many other aspects we will discuss under another heading someday .Good evening..bbye!!
